With so many accommodation options on the island of Antigua, all-inclusive resorts provide an easy way to book every aspect of your dream vacation.

Most of the island's all-inclusive resorts offer packages which may consist of delicious meals and an assortment of drinks including fine wine tasting, various activities such as croquet or tennis, and flourishing landscapes of tropical flowers and vegetation. With all of these options rolled into one, you could be getting more value for your money. Often, all-inclusive resorts are a more cost-effective way of planning your vacation because nearly everything you need on your vacation - from room and board to food to activities - is included in the cost.

Couples and those seeking a little more privacy may enjoy the romantic and intimate atmosphere that some of the more secluded resorts give. These all-inclusive resorts are found in various locations around the island, like on Antigua's south shore or on one of the island's private peninsulas.  For a no-stress, laid-back environment perfect for a trip with friends and family, try a resort located on in The Valley, such as the Anguilla Beach House Resort, where activities include wind surfing and snorkeling.

Many nay-sayers of all-inclusive resorts argue that with so many aspects of your vacation incorporated into one package, vacationers rarely feel the need to go out and explore the rest of the island.  This can take away from some of the cultural experiences that you might have while staying elsewhere on the island. Plan to spend some time out of the resort walls, getting to know the real Antigua, if only for a single afternoon. 

The Resorts

Cocobay Resort

Cocobay Resort is a four-star hotel located in St. John.  With only 42 guest rooms, the resort is cozy, and appeals to the vacationer looking for a quiet and relaxing get-away.  Both regular room rates and all-inclusive packages are available.  The all-inclusive option includes three meals a day, plus an afternoon snack, non-alcoholic and house beverages, non-motorized water equipment, taxes, and gratuities.  Children under the age of 12 are not permitted on property, except for between December 19 and January 7.  Rooms cost approximately $298 (USD) per night.

Curtain Bluff Resort

Curtain Bluff Resort is one of the most luxurious and upscale hotels, not only in Antigua, but in the entirety of the Caribbean.  72 rooms and suites make up the property; each room either opens onto one of two private beaches, or is just a few steps away from the sand.  Prices for this resort range from $740(USD) to $3,900(USD) and includes all meals and beverages (excluding wine from the wine cellar), nightly entertainment, deep sea fishing, snorkeling and diving excursions, kayaking trips, and the use of a number of sports courts and facilitiess.  Guests can also enjoy spa treatments at an additional cost.

Galley Bay Resort and Spa

With 98 beach front rooms and hidden cottages, Galley Bay Resort and Spa is located on the west coast of Antigua.  Aside from the typical three meals and beverages that are included in typical all-inclusive packages, Galley Bay also offers non-motorized water sports, a fitness center, wireless Internet, and nightly entertainment.  Golf retreats, sightseeing tours, and spa treatments are available for an additional fee. This is an adults-only facility, and prices range from $900 to $1100 (USD).

Grand Pineapple Beach Antigua

Recently renovated, the Grand Pineapple Beach Antigua features 180 rooms, with options of Beachfront, Tropical Waterfront, Ocean, and Garden views.  Here, the all-inclusive package, costing $356 (USD) per night, includes meals, beverages, water sports, entertainment, tips, and gratuities.  Tours, hosted by third-party tour guides, can be arranged for an additional fee at the tour desk upon arrival.

Hermitage Bay Resort

The resort at Hermitage Bay was built from sustainable materials, and great care was taken to ensure that the buildings blended in naturally with their surroundings.  Accommodations include hotel rooms, beach front cottages, and beach cottages, all with sweeping views of the Caribbean Sea.  For between $900 and $1500(USD) per night guests receieve meals, beverages, an afternoon snack, French champagne, airport transportation, yoga or pilates classes, and non-motorized water sports.  Children ages eight and above may stay on property during the months of July, August, and December, and children 12 and above are welcome during all other months.  Children cost an additional $300(USD) per night. 

Jolly Beach Resort and Spa

With prices beginning at $203 (USD) per couple, per night, and children between the ages of three and 11 costing $58 (USD) per night, the Jolly Beach Resort and Spa is a great place for the whole family to visit.  The price includes three daily meals, beverages, non-motorized water sports, entertainment, and taxes.  The resort offers five restaurants and bars, two pools, a variety of children and teen activities, and a spa.  Wedding and honeymoon packages are available at varying rates. 

Lighthouse Bay Resort

Lighthouse Bay Resort is located on the island of Barbuda, on a private beach in Codrington Lagoon National Park.  There are only nine suites on property, and the resort strives to provide the most personalized service by catering to each guests every need.  Amenities include iPod docking stations and alarms, the use of one iPad per room, a personal laptop per room, free wifi, free international calling, and flat screened satellite television.  Meals are all provided, there is a pool, and the staff will arrange trips through the National Park for guests upon request. 

Rex Resorts

There are two Rex Resorts in Antigua.  Hawksbill, which is located four miles outside of St. Johns, and Halcyon Cove, in Dickenson are both family friendly resorts.  Their all-inclusive packages include three full meals plus afternoon tea, all non-alcoholic and a variety of alcoholic beverages, tennis, a scuba demonstration, non-motorized water sports, and nightly entertainment.  Rates at these resorts range from $240 to $472 (USD) per night.  

Sandals Antigua Caribbean Village and Spa Ultra All-Inclusive

Sandals offers its guests at all resorts fine-dining, luxurious accommodations, championship golf, water sports, personal butler service, taxes, and tips for one price.  Sandals is also happy to help you arrange tours of the island with third-party tour groups, but the price of these excursions is not included in your package.  The Sandals resorts on Antigua include the Sandals Antigua Caribbean Village and Spa Ultra All-Inclusive and Sandals Grande Antigua Resort and Spa.  Rooms at these resorts range in price from $700 to $1050 (USD).

St. James Club Antigua

Situated along both Mamora Bay and Coco Beach, St. James Club Antigua offers guests the feel of a true island getaway.  Accommodation options include beach front rooms, suites, and 1,600 square foot villas.  Guests can choose to pay strictly for the room, or purchase the All-inclusive package.  All-inclusive pricing of between $490 and $1,640(USD) includes all meals and beverages, daily activities and entertainment, non-motorized water sports, sailing excursions, and the use of six tennis courts, six swimming pools, and a fitness center.
