Most shops, businesses, and services operate on consistent, reliable schedules in Antigua, which makes planning vacation excursions easy.

The island's shops and markets are open most days, and general business hours are Monday to Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with one hour for lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 1 p.m. Some grocery stores are open later in the evening on Fridays.

Occasionally, some shops close at 12:00 p.m. on Thursdays, and most stores are closed on Sundays with the exception of KFC and a few curio shops.
